Bruce preaching:

FOUL!

Inspired by Upward Basketball & The Louvre.

It’s a time change Sunday, Nancy and a bunch of our women will be away at a retreat, so Bruce will particularly appreciate anyone who will come and keep him company this Sunday morning.

SOFTBALL. We’re signing up players for the ’08 softball season. We plan to have two men’s teams and a co-ed squad. General Manager Bob Ramm invites those interested in the Men’s Teams to meet with him in the gym following this Sunday’s 9:15 & 10:45 services. Both Men’s Teams will be playing on Sunday nights at the Kelly Fields on Fort & 120th. We need to start collecting fees ($50) and signing rosters. There is a first-come, first-serve element at work here, so don’t be tardy. The Co-ed Team is being run by Becky Lowe and Dave Stading.

From MANDY BARKHAUS: We have an opportunity at St. Andrew’s to help out a refugee family from Burma. These families come here with nothing and our church family has an opportunity to help out one family in need. We will be furnishing an apartment with all the necessary items for them to have a good start to their home in the United States. Our family of 6 includes a girl-3, boy-6, boy-9, and a boy-13.

Our family will be here on March 18th- which is in two short weeks. We are in need of lots of help. We need household items donated, we need trucks that can pick-up donated furniture and deliver it to the apartment, and we need people to set up the apartment. We will also be collecting money for any of the items that we do not get donated.

Here is a list of some of the bigger things we need for this family:

Dining table/chairs (6)

Living room furniture with places to sit 6

Dressers

Lamps

Bunk Bed

2 twin beds

1 full bed

Coffee and side tables

We also need smaller items such as:

Bedding

Pots and pans

Dishes/glasses

Trash can

Broom

Mop

Toothpaste/brushes

Shampoo

Deodorant

Toilet paper

Paper towels

Dish towels

Alarm clock

Shower curtain/hooks

There will be a complete list and tags for you to take on Sunday of specific items. Please e-mail or call me if you want more information or you can help out. Thank you!!!!

Psalm 36, 1-6, “Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in their hearts; there is no fear of God before their eyes. For they flatter themselves in their own eyes that their iniquity cannot be found out and hated. The words of their mouths are mischief and deceit; they have ceased to act wisely and do good. They plot mischief while on their beds; they are set on a way this is not good; they do not reject evil. Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your judgments are like the great deep; you save humans and animals alike, O Lord.”

If you ceased to do good, listen for a whistle blowing deep in your soul; it may be the Holy Spirit calling, FOUL! We’ll talk more about such things on Sunday.
