MORE NANCY NEWS: NANCY DAVIS is going to jail on August 14 to help raise money for Muscular Dystrophy. She will need to raise her bail money before that date so that she doesn’t have to spend the day in lock-up. Please help her (and MDA, of course) by making a contribution to Muscular Dystrophy on her personal page. You can access Nancy’s page by entering [ mailto:events@mdausa.org ]events@mdausa.org. The instructions will tell you to then click on the link “above” – actually the link to click on is “below” so please scroll down and look for it there. Any contribution you can make will be appreciated. IF you would like to view one of your co-pastors in jail, you can come to the event itself on August 14 from 10-11 A.M. at the Upstream restaurant on Center Street. (P.S. – Please don’t tell the Bishop about this!)

With the summer softball season winding down, we’re looking at putting together a team to play in a fall league. We’ll be playing on Sunday afternoons. It’s a seven game season starting the last Sunday in August.
If interested, contact BOB R.

TRIVIA NIGHT: Our next TRIVIA NIGHT is scheduled for Friday evening, September 14. We’ll start at 7:00. Child care will be offered. Here’s the drill: Participants will be divided into teams of approximately eight persons, gathered around tables in the Family Life Center. Bruce and Nancy will ask 100 questions in groupings of ten questions each. Each table will come up with a single answer to each question, record the answer. After each group of ten questions, the answer sheets will be gathered, and the scores will be tabulated and posted. Bruce and Nancy PROMISE to be intentional about coming up with multi-generational questions. It’s a cheap event, too: $5 in advance, $10 at the door. You even get snacks, and there are door prizes. Who could ask for anything more? Sign ups begin this Sunday. Look for the table in the Rotunda.

I Corinthians 13:1-3: "If I speak in tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
